Winter Wonderland & Nostalgia

Hi!

Sorry it's been a little bit since a posting: Thanksgiving, the flu...I need to start taking vitamins, and parent conferences....

Anyway, this morning when I woke up it was really pretty outside! We got a couple of inches of snow at some point after 3am. I wish I could say I know this because I was out partying like a rock star, but in reality, I had to let the pups out.

It's nice to see some people have been checking out the site. Ann Marie, I chuckled when I read your memory: Nana Reed and "Tea Time"....for bad papers. Shamefully, I think I have invited some of my students for "Tea" after school. We should make sure we put that on her invitation when we invite faculty. She'll love it! As I recall, she was our speaker at our graduation as well.

Ann Marie made me think of the time that Shawn popped an umbrella in Mr. Sayyeau's french class because he sat in the front and sometimes got the brunt of "Repitez, Ecoutez, Sivouz Plait!" (I don't remember my conjugations, sorry.) That was funny!!!! I think Mr. Sayyeau laughed at his audacity too.

I also remember when Chris Bain brought in a remote to Ed Cali's class when we were still watching the Christmas Carol in April. Every time Mr. Cali turned on the vcr....Chris screwed with him. --What a "pisser"! This went on for a while and Mr. Cali always thought his vcr was screwed up.-----How technololgy has changed since then. Good thing we all had our knuckles cracked by Mr. Cullen during typing class to prepare us for the eworld!

Well...enough for now, I have to internet Christmas Shop! I hope everyone is enjoying their Holiday Season wherever they may be.

John Hunter----glad you are here in the US and not deployed overseas at this time! Your daughter, Amanda, did a kick butt job in the Geo Bee before Thanksgiving. She is one of 10 finalists out of the whole Middle School....over 270 kids sixth through eighth grade. Suzy and I were also pleased to see her win the 7th grade citizenship award last month.

Anymore memories???? Post them for us to remember too......
Heather

Memories .... remember when the TI girls and the Bay girls didn't get along. Thank god that is behind us now that you all realized that TI rules. LOL! (this is just a joke;)

Oh! And I remember playing cards in the locker well. Some how Mr. Gleason never question when I was gone for the whole study hall on a locker pass. Maybe he thought I was NHS? Or I was just too much of a teacher's pet for him to care.

How sad is it that this year during Spirit Week at my school, they had 80's day. My students came to me for advice on how to dress! The first thing I said was their hair would never get big enough. I think we should take a vote on which girl in our class had the biggest hair and which guy had the best mullet!

How did this happen 20 years? It seems like just yesterday I was riding on a bus to a soccer game listening to "One Moment in Time" over and over again. Or freezing my feet off at the skating rink. Oh the memories. Winter Carnival where we kicked ass every year is broom ball. I think we should be named broomball team of the century. I don't think there was a team that could beat us. I now play hockey on 2 different woman's teams it's not broomball but it's close.
